Job summary

Penn State University in University Park seeks qualified law enforcement instructors for the Sheriff and Deputy Sheriff's Basic Training Academy. This is a face-to-face, on-site role with no remote work.

Instructors will support up to three 19-week residency programs yearly, delivering modules such as Firearms, Defensive Tactics, and EVOC. Part-time positions require state certifications and ongoing engagement with assigned training needs.

Qualifications

• Certifications in firearms, defensive tactics, and emergency care required.
• Certification through PCCD and Sheriff/Deputy Sheriff Training Board required.
• Experience delivering in-person training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face instruction for training modules as listed.
• Coordinate training schedules and assignments as needed.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and safety standards.
