Job summary

Penn State University is accepting applications for a part-time remote Defensive Tactics instructor position with JASI (Justice and Safety Institute). Training will occur statewide across counties for county adult probation and parole programs, with classes held on weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm.

Experience in teaching defensive tactics to law enforcement trainees is required. Employment includes background checks per university policy.

JASI (Justice and Safety Institute) is accepting applications for a part-time remote position as Defensive Tactics instructors for county adult probation and parole training program.

Training classes will be held throughout the state on a regional basis depending upon where training needs exist.

Classes will run weekdays, Monday- Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.

Experience instructing defensive tactics to law enforcement trainees is required.

Background Checks/Clearances

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
