Job summary

Summit Public Schools in California seeks a Math Intervention Tutor to provide targeted, small-group and 1:1 support to students not meeting grade-level expectations. You’ll work with the Manager of Math Practice and teachers to align interventions with the Illustrative Math and Teach to One curricula, monitor progress, and adjust strategies based on data.

This fully in-person role covers multiple Summit sites across California, requiring travel and collaboration with site leaders to accelerate

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring or mentoring middle/high school students in math or related subjects.
• Ability to implement established lessons and adjust based on student needs.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with teachers and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Direct Student Support & Targeted Intervention: guide students through targeted practice in foundational math skills.
• Progress Monitoring & Mentoring: share updates with teachers and track progress daily.
• Preparation & Collaborative Alignment: review and prepare lesson plans with managers and leaders.
• Collaborate with Lead Teachers, SPED, and Multilingual Learner staff to ensure cohesive support.
