Back to Basics Learning Dynamics, Inc. seeks a part-time, in-person High School Math Tutor to provide 1:1 tutoring at our Wilmington center (19803). Schedule is flexible after-school on weekdays and some weekends.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of high school tutoring experience, plus strong communication skills. Tutors travel within 30 minutes if needed. Responsibilities include tutoring Algebra 1–Calculus, developing tailored plans, and documenting progress, with ongoing

• 3 years of teaching or tutoring high school students (excluding student teaching).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching approaches based on student engagement and skill level.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tutoring for high school math instruction—Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, PreCalculus, Calculus.
• Develop tailored lesson plans based on student needs and learning styles.
• Use creative, hands-on approaches to make reading and math engaging and relevant.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student sessions and progress.
• Communicate with parents and the student's teacher as needed.
• Adjust instruction techniques to accommodate students with learning differences.

What you’ll do:

Your qualifications:

• A minimum of 3years of teaching or tutoring experience with high schoolstudents (excluding student teaching)

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching approaches based on student engagement, need, and skill level.
• Travel to our center should be no more than 30 minutes from your location
