Back to Basics Learning Dynamics is seeking a part-time, in-person High School Math Tutor to provide 1:1 tutoring for Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, PreCalculus, and Calculus at our Wilmington center (19803).

The role offers flexible afterschool hours with opportunities to develop tailored lesson plans and engage students in creative math instruction, while maintaining progress documentation and regular parent communication.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of teaching or tutoring experience with high school students.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching approaches based on student engagement, need, and skill level.
• Travel to our center should be no more than 30 minutes from your location.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tutoring for instruction in high school math — Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, PreCalculus, Calculus.
• Develop tailored lesson plans based on student needs and learning styles.
• Use creative, hands-on approaches to make reading and math engaging and relevant.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student's sessions and progress.
• Communicate with parents regularly and the student's teacher as needed.
• Adjust instruction techniques to accommodate students with learning differences.
