Back to Basics Learning Dynamics is seeking a part-time, in-person High School Math Tutor to provide personalized 1:1 instruction at our Wilmington center (19803). The role offers flexible after-school hours for weekdays and some weekend availability, along with an opportunity to develop tailored lesson plans and engage creatively with students.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of HS tutoring/teaching experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching approaches based on student engagement, need, and skill level.
• Travel to our center should be no more than 30 minutes from your location.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tutoring for instruction in high school math: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus.
• Develop tailored lesson plans based on student needs and learning styles.
• Use creative, hands-on approaches to make reading and math engaging and relevant.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student sessions and progress.
• Communicate with parents regularly and student's teacher as needed.
• Adjust instruction techniques to accommodate students with learning differences.
