Roanoke-Chowan Community College (R-CCC) invites applications for qualified adjunct faculty to teach COM courses in-person. Adjunct faculty support student learning by delivering high-quality instruction, maintaining academic records, and fostering an inclusive, respectful learning environment.

Teaching assignments may include day, evening, weekend, hybrid, or online formats depending on departmental needs.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Discipline or master's with 18 graduate hours in Discipline.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in Field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Field.
• College-level teaching experience.
• Experience with Moodle, Canvas, or other LMS.
• Demonstrated commitment to student success.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Mansioni

• Teach assigned COM courses in alignment with outcomes and policies.
• Develop and deliver instruction using current methodologies and learning technologies.
• Provide timely feedback on graded work (within one week).
• Maintain attendance records and certify deadlines.
• Maintain up-to-date grade records in Moodle.
• Promote an inclusive learning environment respecting diverse backgrounds.
• Report conduct issues per institutional protocol.
• Drop students per attendance policy; handle online expectations for activity/participation.
• Post course syllabus in Moodle and provide printed copies for in-person students.
• Use college email for communications, respond within 24–48 hours.
• Submit final grades and required documentation by deadlines; obtain Dean approval if needed.
• Remain on-site for full duration of class meetings (in-person).
• Attend all scheduled class sessions; notify supervisor of absences and arrange coverage when applicable.
• Contact Director of Distance Learning for Moodle-related support.
• Participate in orientation, training, and professional development activities.
• Uphold FERPA confidentiality.
