Job summary

Wipfli seeks a diligent accounting intern in Illinois to gain hands-on experience in audit and assurance. You will work closely with professionals across the firm, supporting client engagements and learning GAAP nuances under supervision.

As you progress, you will develop data analytics skills, communication abilities, and a strong foundation for CPA exam readiness, with in-person collaboration at client sites and office locations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting with coursework in taxation.
• Above average accounting knowledge; GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Working toward CPA exam eligibility after graduation.
• Data analytics or Big Data coursework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support audit engagements and related procedures per firm standards.
• Interact with clients and internal teams to gather information for documents.
• Apply data analysis to identify patterns and support recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
