Job summary

Wipfli is seeking an accounting intern to perform a range of audit-related tasks and support engagement teams. This in-person role requires regular office attendance at client sites or in the Milwaukee office, five days a week for full-time interns.

You will gain hands-on experience with GAAP, analysis, and financial reporting. You will respond to client requests, gather information for documents, and work with stakeholders to improve processes while developing your accounting and data analytics

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting with strong academic record.
• Above average accounting knowledge; GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Working towards eligibility to sit for the CPA exam after graduation.
• Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
• Work with clients to gather information for required documents.
• Use data analysis skills to identify information and patterns supporting recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
• Perform audit, review, and compliance testing procedures as directed.
• Communicate with engagement leaders about open items and issues.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, footnotes, and management reports.
• Develop competency with GAAP related to the product line.
