Wipfli is seeking an accounting intern whose focus is on delivering high-quality client service. You will support audit and assurance work, gather necessary information, and apply data analytics to identify patterns that inform recommendations.

The role emphasizes accuracy, communication, and timely delivery. Successful candidate pursues a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting, maintains GPA expectations, and works toward CPA eligibility.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Above average knowledge in accounting demonstrated by college GPA; Preferred 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Working towards eligibility to sit for CPA exam upon graduation.
• Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data.
• Ability to think independently and meet deadlines with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client and firm requests in a timely, positive, professional manner.
• Gather information for completion of required documents with clients.
• Use data analysis to discover patterns and provide support in recommendations.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
• Perform audit, review, and compliance testing procedures per standards.
• Communicate with engagement leaders on open items and testing issues.
• Prepare financial statements and footnotes, and related engagement outputs.
• Develop competency with GAAP related to the product line.
