Job summary

NTC Language Services in New York City is seeking an In-Person Educational Interpreter for Albanian to provide bilingual interpretation in classrooms and school settings.

The role is part-time and as-needed, requiring travel to NYC assignments. You will interpret between English and Albanian, maintain confidentiality, and support students, families, and school staff.

Starting pay is $35.00 per hour with flexible scheduling and opportunities to gain experience in diverse educational contexts.

Qualifications

• Be able to read, write, and speak proficiently in both English and Albanian
• Interpret spoken communication accurately between English and Albanian
• Maintain neutrality and confidentiality in school settings
• Experience in education or related fields is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for parent-teacher conferences, CSE/CPSE meetings, student evaluations, registrations, orientations, and family engagement events
• Interpret accurately and completely between English and Albanian while preserving meaning and tone
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct; arrive on time for assignments
• Communicate scheduling and attendance promptly and work with school staff and families
