Job summary

NTC Language Services seeks reliable English/Arabic Educational Interpreters for part-time, as-needed work in NYC. Interpreters provide in-person interpretation across school settings, assisting families, students, and staff.

Applicants must read, write, and speak proficiently in English and Arabic, interpret accurately, and maintain confidentiality. Travel to NYC assignments is required; remote work is not available.

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak proficiently in both English and Arabic.
• Interpret spoken communication accurately and completely between English and Arabic.
• Maintain neutrality and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for parent-teacher conferences, CSE/CPSE meetings, student evaluations, registrations and other school events.
• Support students, families and school professionals with clear, culturally appropriate interpretation.
• Arrive on time and travel to assignments in NYC as needed.
