Job summary

CT State Community College is seeking enthusiastic part-time tutors to support student success across multiple campuses. The Tutor will provide tutoring, assist with coursework, and help strengthen foundational skills in ACE learning environments.

Collaboration with faculty and program staff ensures a structured and supportive setting for learners. Incumbents may help with labs, equipment setup, and lab sessions, contributing to a positive teaching and learning experience at CT State Community

Qualifications

• Associate degree in the assigned academic field or a closely related field with one (1) or more years of related teaching and/or tutoring experience.
• Experience tutoring and basic instruction in the assigned academic discipline.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Providing individual and group tutoring.
• Assisting students in carrying out assignments and providing supplemental instruction.
• Overseeing and guiding assigned student workers in their support to students.
• Observing and reporting on student performance to faculty.
• Proctoring student exams.
• Setting up, testing and maintaining lab equipment.
