Job summary

Roanoke-Chowan Community College invites applications for qualified adjunct faculty to teach ACA courses in-person. You will develop and deliver engaging instruction, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate attendance and grade records in Moodle.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in the discipline (or 18 graduate hours) and have college-level teaching experience with LMS familiarity. The college encourages applicants with diverse backgrounds and supports professional development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the discipline, or a master’s with 18 graduate hours in the discipline.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in the field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in the field.
• College-level teaching experience.
• Experience with Moodle, Canvas, or other LMS.
• Demonstrated commitment to student success.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned ACA courses in-person in alignment with outcomes and policies.
• Develop engaging instruction using current teaching methods and technology.
• Provide clear instructions and meaningful feedback on graded work within one week.
• Maintain attendance and grade records in Self-Service and Moodle.
• Uphold FERPA confidentiality and proper instructional conduct.
• Attend required orientation, training, and professional development.
• Remain on-site for the full duration of each scheduled class meeting.
