Job summary

Roanoke-Chowan Community College invites applications for qualified adjunct faculty to teach MAT courses in-person. Adjuncts deliver high-quality instruction, maintain accurate academic records, and foster an inclusive learning environment.

Teaching assignments may include day, evening, weekend, hybrid, or online sections depending on departmental needs and accreditation standards. Instructors will use Moodle/Canvas and provide timely feedback, while adhering to FERPA and college policies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in discipline or Master’s with 18 graduate hours.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in field for applied/technical programs.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in field.
• College-level teaching experience.
• Experience with Moodle, Canvas, or other learning management systems.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in MAT in alignment with outcomes and policies.
• Develop and deliver instruction using current teaching methodologies and learning technologies.
• Provide students with clear instructions and meaningful feedback within one week of due date.
• Maintain attendance records and certify attendance by deadlines.
