Job summary

Phaxis is seeking a Registered Nurse for our 64-bed in-patient facility with a focus on psychiatric care. The role requires one year of psychiatric nursing experience and entails shce routine night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a flexible schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, etc.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year state-accredited school of nursing with at least one year of experience in psychiatric nursing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong psychosocial and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with professionals and clients/families.
• Proven ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
• Communicate effectively with physicians as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medication evaluations, checks, and manage prescriptions.
• Engage in individual, group, and family therapy sessions, including necessary documentation.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary treatment planning and case support activities.
• Offer crisis intervention consultations to team members.
• Contribute to the peer review process for therapists.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
