Crestwyn Behavioral Health Hospital, part of Acadia Healthcare, is seeking Registered Nurses to provide and coordinate care for patients with physical and behavioral health needs in a psychiatric inpatient setting. Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing or equivalent.
• Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by the state of employment or be eligible to practice nursing.
• One year of nursing experience; previous psychiatric, mental, behavioral, or substance use nursing experience a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.
• Provide nursing care within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined by state laws and facility policies.
• Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed correctly.
• Assess patient status continuously and document pertinent information.
• Notify physicians of significant status changes and emergencies.
• Complete admission and discharge processing accurately and efficiently.
• Demonstrate therapeutic rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Coordinate unit activities as directed and communicate with the care team.
