Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 36-hour week night shift (7pm–7:30am) in an inpatient behavioral health unit. The role requires completion of an accredited nursing program and an active RN license in the state of practice, with BLS certification. Prior inpatient psychiatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in an inpatient psychiatric or crisis setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum using evidence-based practice and clinical decision making.
