Job summary

TruBridge is seeking an In-Patient Coder to perform medical coding and data entry for Hospital (Acute) In-patient visits, including CABG, Ortho, and Med cases. The role requires using the 3M 360 Encoder HDM to streamline coding and billing.

Essential functions include accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, DRG assignment, and physician query creation while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and employer policies. The ideal candidate holds AHIMA/AAPC credentials and has experience across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree or equivalent experience.
• AHIMA or AAPC certification REQUIRED.
• Experience coding CABG, Ortho, and Med cases REQUIRED.
• Experience working with 3M 360 Encoder HDM REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient: Accurately assigns ICD-10-CM and PCS primary and secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Create compliant physician queries.
• Review claims for medical necessity.
• Update problem lists consistent with client contract.
• Assign present on admission indicators.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and teammates.
• Floats between multiple sites and coding specialties with flexibility.
