Job summary

IKS Health is seeking an In-Patient Coder - Acute / CABG to perform medical coding and data entry for hospital in-patient services, coding CABG, Ortho, and Med cases. Proficiency with the 3M 360 Encoder HDM is required to streamline the coding and billing workflow.

Flexibility to work across sites is expected. The role requires AHIMA or AAPC certification, a two-year degree or equivalent, and experience with CABG, Ortho, and Med coding.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient: Accurately assigns ICD-10-CM and PCS primary and secondary diagnoses and procedure codes.
• Ability to create compliant physician queries.
• Accurately review claims for medical necessity.
• Update problem lists consistent with client contract.
• Correctly assign present on admission indicators.
• Floats between multiple sites and coding specialties with ease and flexibility.
