Job summary

Jefferson Health seeks a Registered Nurse for a Full Time Day position in the Abington operating room. Four 10-hour shifts are available; prior OR experience is required, with circulating and scrubbing experience preferred.

The RN will deliver patient- and family-centered care using the nursing process, coordinating plans with patients and care partners while aligning with cultural beliefs and values to ensure safe, compassionate outcomes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice and applying it to patient care.
• Strong communication with patients and families and among care teams.
• Cultural awareness and respect for diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency with nursing process, assessment, and care planning.
• Ability to collaborate in inter-professional teams and shared decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients, families, and staff to support safe, respectful care.
• Identify learning needs with patients and families and provide education.
• Use health IT to communicate, document care, and monitor outcomes.
• Work within nursing teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.
• Support learning and professional growth and act as a preceptor when appropriate.
• Participate in committees focused on safety and quality improvements.
