University Orthopedics is seeking a full-time Workers Comp Billing Coordinator for our Mansfield, MA location. The role requires handling payments, refunds, invoicing, and assist with various billing tasks under the Workers Comp Manager supervision.

The position is in-person at our Mansfield site, with responsibilities including processing charges, posting payments, handling self-pay balances, and coordinating with attorneys as needed. Travel to other sites may be required.

Qualificações

• High School education.
• Must be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision and direction.
• Skills in oral and written communication. Knowledge of computer applications for medical billing, financial data, spreadsheets, and word processing.
• Previous billing coursework/education preferred.
• Must be able to travel to all sites if/when necessary.

Responsabilidades

• Go through correspondence to ensure payments have been made.
• Assist with writing up refunds.
• Fax notes to Worker’s Comp vendors.
• Assist with making copies and mail out invoices.
• Send out 2nd insurances to carriers and print EOB’s.
• Review surgery list to ensure surgeries are billed.
• Process charges on patients’ credit cards.
• Enter office visit charges.
• Post payment batches for self-pay balances and credit cards.
• Pull backup information when needed for appeals and check to see if they have been resolved.
• Assist biller with self-pay patients, posting of payments and charges, copying records per direction and filing of work completed.
• Contact attorney accounts monthly to obtain current information regarding case.
• Call patients for demographic update, updating info in appropriate area of the billing system, obtaining notes for claim submission and other duties as assigned.
• Ensure all communication is documented in appropriate area for professional team to review on billing system.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Manager to meet department needs.
