Job summary

Des Moines Orthopaedics - West Des Moines is seeking a full-time Medical Reception/Coordination specialist to help build a Prior Auth team. Working alongside navigators, you will support authorizations and scheduling, in-house at West Des Moines or Ankeny offices as space allows.

The role requires the ability to recall information quickly, prior auth experience, and strong organization, with hours Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Benefits include health plans and PTO.

Qualifications

• HS GED or Diploma or better required.
• 1 year of medical reception or coordination experience.
• Prior exposure to patient care coordination preferred.
• Experience with prior authorizations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide authorization support and, when needed, scheduling for patients.
• Review prior authorizations via Intergy and carrier sites; communicate with staff.
• Maintain professionalism and calm communication with patients and clinical staff.
