Job summary

Des Moines Orthopaedics in West Des Moines, IA is expanding its Prior Auth team. This full-time role supports inpatient surgery authorizations, working alongside navigators to standardize patient experience and ensure timely care.

In-house at the West Des Moines or Ankeny offices, hours are Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. You will handle authorization tasks, scheduling when needed, and collaborate using Office 365, Intergy, and carrier portals to review authorizations while maintaining

Qualifications

• Prior exposure to patient care coordination.
• Experience with prior authorization processes.
• Ability to communicate calmly with patients and technicians.
• Display a high level of professionalism when interacting with patients and clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide authorization support and, in some cases, scheduling for patients.
• Utilize Office 365 products, Intergy, insurance carrier sites, and review prior authorizations.
• Maintain focus at a desk for extended periods to support team efficiency.
