Ledgent Finance & Accounting is currently seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join a dedicated team in Arizona. The role focuses on ensuring efficient billing and collections operations while maintaining accounts receivable management.

This temporary, 100% in-office position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in homecare billing and collections management, and offers a competitive hourly pay.

Competenze

• Minimum 3 years' experience in homecare billing and collections management.
• Experience with AZ AHCCCS Long Term Care billing preferred but not required.
• Experience using billing information systems.
• Knowledge of corporate business management and governmental regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.
• Ability to exercise discretion and manage detailed information.

Mansioni

• Ensure reimbursement through efficient billing and collections and AR management.
• Submit and review billable claims across required systems.
• Manage timely submission of billing, collections, and AR functions.
• Keep payers billed per contract provisions.
• Stay informed on payer changes and relay updates to leadership.
• Resolve conflicts with payers.
• Monitor aging accounts receivable and prepare debt reports.
• Resubmit denied or unpaid claims.
• Generate and report key billing information to leadership.
• Assist in monthly/quarterly/annual goals for billing efficiency.
• Reconcile billing system reports with the general ledger.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Protect confidentiality of information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
