Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist in Arizona to support in-office billing and collections. The role emphasizes AR management, payer contract compliance, and timely submission of claims.

A detail-oriented professional with homecare billing experience is required for a 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday schedule. Minimum 3 years in homecare billing, familiarity with billing systems, and ability to navigate payer changes are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in homecare billing and collections management.
• Experience with AZ AHCCCS Long Term Care billing preferred but not required.
• Experience using billing information systems.
• Knowledge of corporate business management and governmental regulations.
• Proficient in Excel & Word.
• Experience with EVV Aggregation System is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reimbursement through efficient billing and collections operations and AR management.
• Review billable claims info in required systems for billing submission and coordinate with pre-billing.
• Submit all billing, collections, and AR functions accurately and timely.
• Ensure payer contracts are billed according to contract provisions.
• Stay informed on payer changes and communicate with Controller and Director of Business Operations.
• Represent agency in resolving conflicts with payers.
• Monitor aged AR and prepare outstanding debt reports.
• Resubmit unpaid/denied/late claims to payers.
• Gather and report billing information to leadership and strategize goals for optimization.
• Reconcile billing system reports with the general ledger.
