Job summary

Hoffman Construction Company is seeking a BIM Intern to join the in- office BIM Department. You will manage 3D model documents, assist with site logistics, and learn clash reporting and Navisworks publishing under the BIM Department Manager’s guidance.

The role emphasizes in-office work, data organization, and collaboration with project teams, designers, and subcontractors. Strong communication and time-management skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with construction materials and methods is expected.

Responsibilities

• Receive and distribute model files from designers, project team members, and subcontractors.
• Clash test and publish federated models using Navisworks Manage.
• Participate in jobsite inspections comparing model geometry with installed conditions and document findings.
• Attend BIM coordination meetings and take/distribute meeting minutes.
