Job summary

Hoffman Construction is seeking a BIM Intern to support the BIM Department in documenting and coordinating 3D model content. The role will work closely with the project team, publish clash reports in Navisworks, and assist in site coordination and QA/QC activities in-office in Lake Oswego, OR.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering with knowledge of CSI specs and design documents.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree pursuit in Architecture, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• Education background in materials and methods of construction.

Responsibilities

• Receive and distribute model files from designers, project team members, and subcontractors.
• Clash test and publish Federated Models using Navisworks Manage.
• Participate in jobsite inspections of installed conditions as compared with model geometry, including photo documentation and reporting.
• Attend BIM coordination meetings and take and distribute meeting minutes.
