Job summary

Thrive Behavioral Health is hiring a Full-Time Billing Specialist for our Rosedale Clinical Office in Maryland. This in-person role focuses on accounts receivable, insurance verification, and patient billing processes.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED (or 2 years of related work experience) and familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 codes. CPR/FA certification is a plus. Benefits include health, 401(k), paid time off, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two years’ work experience acceptable.
• 2+ years behavioral health billing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes desirable.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Accounts receivable for insurance carriers.
• Prepare and send client statements monthly or as needed.
• Provide customer service regarding balances and statements.
• Verify insurance for new or changing coverage.
• Post insurance explanations of benefits to EMR; review and post payments.
• Obtain required authorizations and maintain insurance data in EMR.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
