This attorney will draft, review, and negotiate technology and licensing agreements, advise on issues specific to serving project-based businesses and government contractors, and act as a trusted business-focused partner to Sales and Customer Success. The role requires a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, Virginia bar eligibility, 3+ years of front-line contract experience, and a pragmatic

Qualifications

• ABA-accredited JD and Virginia bar eligible for Virginia Corporate Counsel registration.
• 3+ years in-house or law firm with front-line contract negotiations and drafting in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with SaaS, enterprise software, or GovCon-focused companies.
• Business-oriented, pragmatic approach to identifying and managing legal risk.
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal clients and external customers.
• Familiarity with procurement, technology licensing and related processes.
• Interest in evolving AI technology and its regulatory implications.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate technology licensing agreements.
• Advise on legal issues for government contractors and project-based businesses.
• Partner with Sales and Customer Success teams as a trusted business-oriented counsel.
• Support IP licensing, data rights, and open-source considerations in agreements.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to improve contract throughput and quality.
• Contribute to governance of privacy and security obligations in tech contracts.
