Job summary

Bayshore Residence and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a full- or part-time capacity. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat residents with communication disorders and swallowing difficulties in a skilled nursing setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, care planning, and evidence-based practice to improve residents' communication, swallowing, and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
Licensure/ASHA certification required or eligible in MN.
Experience in long-term/geriatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess residents with communication disorders to determine needs.
Provide individual and group therapy for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
Work with residents with stroke, TBI, or other neurological disorders.
Assess and treat swallowing disorders (dysphagia) and feeding issues.
Recommend and implement AAC systems and devices.
Engage in ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
