Job summary

Shores of Worthington in Worthington, MN is hiring an In-House Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to assess, diagnose, treat, and support residents with communication and swallowing disorders. This role supports quality of life through individualized therapy and AAC strategies.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, MN licensure, and ASHA certification; prior geriatric or long-term care experience is preferred. In-house, full/part-time or PRN positions available.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
• Valid MN state license and ASHA certification.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents to determine communication needs.
• Provide individual or group therapy for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
• Work with residents with stroke, traumatic brain injury, or other neurological disorders.
• Assessing and treating swallowing disorders (dysphagia) or feeding difficulties.
• Recommending and implementing AAC systems and training users.
• Stay current with research and participate in professional development.
