Job summary

Atlanta Housing is seeking a Paralegal to support the Office of the General Counsel, focusing on the Real Estate Team and closing document management. The role involves organizing real estate portfolios, preparing documents for closings, and conducting due diligence reviews under guidance from Senior Deputy General Counsel.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree with at least five years of paralegal experience, preferably with in-house or large firm exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with five years paralegal experience.
• Experience in in-house legal departments or large law firms preferred.
• Knowledge of real estate transactions, closings, and due diligence processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize legal files for AH Atlanta Housing matters, including real estate portfolios and contracts.
• Organize real estate closing binders and distribute documents as needed.
• Manage legal projects and monitor progress of contracts and tasks.
• Assist with Board resolutions, minutes, and notices for Board meetings and affiliate entities.
• Conduct legal research using libraries and online resources.
• Draft legal documents and correspondence for internal and external sources.
