Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Active OTA licensure in state(s) of practice is mandatory.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screening of residents to determine the best intervention or treatment.
• Perform treatment plans and follow short- and long-term goals per established plan of care.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents and families and the interdisciplinary team.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with team members.
• Conduct therapy according to treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services.
• Perform all other duties as assigned and required to treat patients.
• Comply with CMS documentation standards in daily practice.
