Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join the Legal team in Cary, NC. You will oversee subsidiary governance, entity management, and corporate compliance, while supporting M&A and IP portfolio management.

Ideal candidate has a JD, bar admission, 3+ years in corporate transactions, governance, or related fields, and the ability to translate complex legal concepts to non-lawyers. This in-house role offers broad exposure and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication for non-legal audiences.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization across complex matters.
• Tech-savvy with modern legal workflows and tools.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate governance and entity management across the company.
• Assist with M&A, due diligence, and post‑closing matters.
• Provide overflow legal support on commercial contracts, SEC matters, and board work.
• Manage IP portfolio communications and reporting with internal teams.

Education

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar in good standing

3+ years of legal experience in corporate transactions, corporate governance, entity management, or a closely related area
