Senior Legal Assistant at Fidelity National Financial

POSITION OVERVIEW

Fidelity National Financial, Inc. (NYSE:FNF), a Fortune 500 company, is the largest provider of commercial and residential mortgage and diversified services in the United States. We are seeking an Attorney to join our Claims Counsel team at our Jacksonville, Florida Claim Center.

LOCATION

This is an in-office position based in Jacksonville, Florida.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Investigate the facts and issues of claims, including communication with title officers, escrow officers, lenders, claimants, and other counsel.
2. Determine coverage existence and evaluate losses under the title policy.
3. Develop and implement plans to resolve claims.
4. Negotiate settlements and resolutions with claimants, opposing counsel, and third parties.
5. Direct outside counsel on litigation strategy during claim administration and litigation.
6. Represent the company in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
7. Manage claim budgets, review and approve outside counsel invoices and expenses, and determine settlement and expense reserves.
8. Identify and pursue sources for recovery.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Licensed to practice law in any U.S. state and in good standing.

Starting Pay: $95,000 per year.
