Job summary

Gainor Staffing is seeking an In-House Corporate Counsel to focus on contract drafting, review, and negotiation. You will advise leadership on commercial agreements while supporting intellectual property, licensing, media, marketing, and data privacy matters.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, a JD and bachelor’s degree, and NY bar admission is preferred. You will interact with executives and manage outside IP counsel in a hybrid New York office.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of legal experience in contracts and data privacy.
• Bachelor’s degree and J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to a state bar; New York admission preferred.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• HighQ experience preferred; nonprofit experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate vendor, sponsorship, advertising, licensing, broadcasting, media, and other commercial agreements.
• Interpret contract terms and advise executives, boards, and staff on legal and business implications.
• Support intellectual property, branding, marketing, licensing, and media initiatives.
• Advise on data privacy, security, and regulatory matters and manage outside IP counsel.
• Partner with the General Counsel on legal, compliance, and insurance matters.

Who You Are
