LJA is seeking a Corporate Counsel in our Legal department in Houston to review, draft, and negotiate contracts that support our projects and client relationships. You will also oversee licensing, registrations, and regulatory filings as we operate across multiple states.

This growth role targets an attorney with expertise in professional-services contracting who wants to broaden into corporate governance, disputes, and M&A while joining an employee-owned firm that values collaboration,

Qualifications

• J.D. required and Texas bar eligibility or admission within one year.
• 2+ years in-house or 4+ years transactional law in engineering/consulting context.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate PSAs, ESAs, SCAs and related agreements.
• Oversee licensing and corporate registrations with state boards.
• Support corporate governance and regulatory filings.
• Provide actionable legal guidance to executives and project teams.
• Collaborate with support staff and other lawyers to meet deadlines.
