Job summary
Interim HealthCare of Dublin, VA is seeking a compassionate Home Health Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide one-on-one care for a veteran in a home setting in Cana, VA. You will assist with daily living activities and work closely with the home health team to follow individualized care plans.
The role emphasizes compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused care with opportunities for flexible scheduling and ongoing training.
Qualifications
- Active Virginia CNA certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR certification and baseline TB skin test required
- Valid Virginia driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one care for Veteran in a home setting
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and feeding
- Assist with ambulation, transfers, and mobility support
- Support meal preparation, hydration, and nutritional intake
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
- Work alongside home health nurses to ensure patient care plans are followed
- Observe patient condition and report changes or concerns to the supervising nurse
- Maintain accurate communication with patients, families, and care team members
