Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Augusta is seeking a Home Health Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide one-on-one care for a Veteran in Cana, VA. The role involves assisting with daily living activities and mobility, in-home care planning, and collaboration with the home health team to maintain patient comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate holds a Virginia CNA certification, CPR and TB clearance, and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia CNA certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR certification and baseline TB skin test required
• Valid Virginia driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Compassionate, dependable and patient-focused
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care for Veteran in a home setting
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and feeding
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and mobility support
• Support meal preparation, hydration, and nutritional intake
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
• Work alongside home health nurses to ensure patient care plans are followed
• Observe patient condition and report changes or concerns to the supervising nurse
• Maintain accurate communication with patients, families, and care team members
