Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. in Bedford, VA is seeking a compassionate Home Health Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide one-on-one in-home care across Bedford and surrounding areas.

You will support Veterans and other clients to maintain independence, comfort and dignity in their own homes. Daily duties include assisting with bathing, dressing, mobility, meal support, monitoring condition, and coordinating with the home health team.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia CNA certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification and TB skin test required.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Compassionate, dependable and patient-focused.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one home care for patients in a home setting.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, feeding).
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and mobility support.
• Support meal preparation, hydration, and nutritional intake.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.
• Collaborate with home health nurses to follow care plans.
• Observe patient condition and report changes to supervising nurse.
• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and care team.
