Job summary

Bellefaire JCB in Lorain, OH seeks an IHBT Therapist to provide direct service to youth and families in home and community settings. You will serve as primary caseworker, conduct diagnostic assessments, develop ISP, and deliver counseling services within a CSA framework.

Licensed clinicians with a Master’s in Social Work or Counseling and an Ohio LSW/LISW/LPC/LPCC are eligible. The role features a strong team environment, ongoing training, 24/7 on-call rotation, and a generous benefits package.

  • Experience in IHBT or related clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary direct service clinician for clients and families.
  • Provide Diagnostic Assessment, Counseling, and Community Support services.
  • Develop and update the client's ISP with a focus on crisis planning and safety.
  • Maintain caseload and productivity as assigned by supervisor.
  • Complete clinical documentation in line with licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call coverage on a rotational basis.

Job description

This position offers a starting salary up to $71,000 with flexible weekly scheduling, lower case loads, and obtainable productivity metrics.

The salary for this position is $60,000 annually with a staff retention bonus of $3,000, and quarterly productive incentives totaling up to $8,000 yearly.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The IHBT Therapist serves as the primary direct service clinician to clients, their families and significant others as needed in the Lorain Intensive Home Based Treatment (IHBT) and JOP programs. There are no subordinates to this position. This position serves clients in both home and community-based settings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  1. Consultation with Lorain County Probation Officers, Lorain County Children Service Workers, Bellefaire JCB staff, and other treatment team members regarding referrals to Bellefaire for IHBT services.
  2. Consult with professional staff at the school regarding treatment planning, progress, and ongoing needs in a timely and consistent manner. Also provide mental health-related training to teachers and other school personnel.
  3. Serve as a primary caseworker and/or counselor for clients referred to the program.
  4. The Counselor will provide: Diagnostic Assessment, Counseling/ Psychotherapy, and Community Support Program Services including, but not limited to:
    • evaluations and assessments
    • participation in the development of the client’s Individual Service Plan (ISP)
    • crisis work – providing assistance and support in crisis situations
    • support, including education and consultation for families and/or significant others regarding the clients’ mental illness
    • individual interventions; symptom monitoring and self management of symptoms; assistance in increasing social support skills and networks
    • coordination of necessary evaluations and assessments; coordination of all services identified on the client’s ISP
    • necessary follow-up to determine if services have adequately met the needs of the client
    • access to resources in the community
  5. Maintain a caseload and productivity levels as assigned by supervisor.
  6. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  7. Provide culturally competent clinical services, including but not necessarily limited to: biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans and reviews, individual counseling, group counseling, family therapy, aftercare planning, and termination reports.
  8. Provide 24/7 on-call coverage on a rotational basis as needed.
OTHER DUTIES:
  1. Provide back-up to other program staff as needed.
  2. Maintain high quality and timely client records, reports, and billing data.
  3. Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.
  4. All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  5. Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
  6. Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
  7. Other duties as assigned by management.
