Job summary

Arbour Counseling Services, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Therapeutic Training and Support Counselor for our In-Home Therapy program in a full-time, in-person role serving youth up to age 21 and their families.

You will collaborate with a Master’s level clinician, teaching coping and parenting skills, coordinating with schools and providers, and connecting families to community resources to support wellness and recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Psychology, Human Services, or a related field and at least 1 year of experience working with youth and families.
• Massachusetts driver’s license and daily access to a registered and insured vehicle.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently plan and organize one’s own schedule and activities.
• Bilingual applicants encouraged.
• Citizenship/work documentation and pre-employment CORI/drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the clinician in implementing therapeutic objectives of the treatment plan.
• Teach the youth to understand, direct, interpret, manage, and control feelings and emotional responses.
• Assist the family to address the youth’s emotional and mental health needs.
• Provide phone contact and consultation as part of the interventions.
• Complete documentation of all meetings and contacts.
• Attend weekly staff/department meetings and supervision.
