Job summary

YAI is seeking a dedicated Therapeutic Coach to support individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs in homes and community settings within California. The role emphasizes person-centered interventions, coaching, and collaboration with families and the START team to implement plans and improve outcomes.

The position requires flexibility, creativity, and strong time management, with travel across the assigned region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or related human services field.
• At least two years of experience with I/DD or behavioral health needs.
• Flexible, creative, and capable of personalizing interventions.
• Ability to work with START team and outside caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered therapeutic coaching in home and community settings.
• Conduct coaching visits and observe factors affecting function.
• Plan activities to build skills in positive supports and wellness.
• Coordinate with START team and caregivers to implement plans.
• Maintain documentation and enter data into START information system.
• Travel across assigned region for in-person sessions.
