Job summary

Ecumen Home Care - Lakeshore in Duluth, MN is seeking a Speech Therapist for PRN/Casual Day Shift (8am-4:30pm) with no weekends and no holidays. You will assess and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in home and community settings, coordinating plans with families and care teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, current license, and relevant experience. Local travel and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Previous experience in the rehabilitation/therapy field preferred.
• Current license, state certification, or registered as a Speech Therapist in good standing.
• Valid Driver's License, proof of insurance and satisfactory motor vehicle record.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing situations including irregular hours, meetings and events.
• Must follow safety rules and policies (HIPAA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Administers hearing or speech/language evaluations to determine impairments.
• Coordinates treatment plan with resident, family, and other team members.
• Records information on initial evaluation, treatment, progress and discharge.
• Monitors patient response to intervention and adjusts as needed to meet goals.
• Instructs clients in communication techniques including sign language, lip reading, and voice improvement.
• Follows CMS, federal and state regulations and payer requirements.
• Manages license/certification renewals and other certifications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
