Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, part of the Optum family, is hiring a Speech Pathologist to provide in-home evaluation and treatment for speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing disorders. You will partner with patients and families to improve communication and quality of life in a home setting.

Required qualifications include a current state license, CCC-SLP, and CPR certification; preferred is 1+ year of experience in Speech Pathology.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology specific to that state you are assigned to work.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) with completed graduate coursework and a clinical practicum from an accredited program.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Working to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults
• Provides aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provides AAC systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders
• Other duties as assigned
