Job summary

Tutor Me Education is seeking an In-Home Special Education Tutor to deliver personalized academic instruction and socio-emotional support, directly in students' homes across California. This flexible, part-time W-2 role starts with 2-10 hours weekly and grows as you take on more students.

Compensation ranges from $25-$35+ per hour based on credentials and experience. Candidates should have AA/BA or higher in related fields and hands-on experience with neurodivergent learners.

Qualifications

• AA/BA or higher in Special Education, Psychology, or Education is required.
• Hands-on experience with students with special needs (ASD/ADHD/Dyslexia) or related background.
• Empathy, patience, and a student-first approach are essential.
• Reliable vehicle for local travel to client homes is required.
• Ability to pass a background check; bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead 1:1 in-home tutoring sessions tailored to diverse learning needs.
• Implement lesson plans aligned to each student’s IEP goals with our support.
• Adapt materials to each student’s learning profile and progress.
• Track progress after each session and maintain open communication with families.
• Foster a safe, inclusive environment that builds confidence and resilience.
