Family of Kidz is seeking a Special Educator to work in the home and community across Nassau County, NY, delivering IEP-aligned lessons in the afternoon/evening hours. Compensation ranges from $50 to $70 per hour, with part-time or full-time opportunities depending on caseload.

The role follows the school calendar and includes benefits for those working 25+ hours per week. The ideal candidate will have NYS Certification SWD and strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• NYS Certification SWD (1-6,5-9,7-12, all grades or Permanent).
• Minimum of 1 year experience in supporting children and their families preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Work with students in home and community settings to provide individualized lessons targeting IEP goals.
• Develop creative, multi-sensory lessons based on IEP goals to engage learners of various abilities.
• Collect meaningful data on IEP goals and report quarterly on progress.
• Maintain ongoing communication with lead supervisors and school team.
• Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
• Attend CSE meetings and participate in professional development trainings.
