Family of Kidz in Nassau County, NY seeks a Special Educator to work in home and community settings, delivering IEP-based lessons with flexible afternoon/evening hours. Compensation ranges from $50 to $70 per hour, with part-time or fee-for-service or full-time potential depending on caseload.

Qualifications

• NYS Certification SWD is required or valid certification.
• Minimum 1 year experience with children and families preferred.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized lessons in home/community settings to meet IEP goals.
• Develop creative, multi-sensory lessons aligned to IEP goals.
• Collect data on IEP goals and report quarterly progress.
• Maintain ongoing communication with lead supervisors and school teams.
• Maintain attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
• Apply discrete trial instruction and natural environment teaching when possible.
• Attend professional development trainings to stay current.
• Maintain professionalism with parents and professionals.
• Attend CSE meetings.
