Job summary

Family of Kidz in Nassau County, NY seeks a Special Educator to support children in home and community settings. The role is part-time with potential for full-time; compensation ranges from $50 to $70 per hour depending on caseload, licensing, and experience.

Hours are typically in the afternoon and evening, following the school calendar. Responsibilities include delivering IEP-driven lessons, collecting progress data, coordinating with supervisors and school teams, and attending CSE meetings.

Qualifications

• NYS Certification SWD (1-6,5-9,7-12, all grades or Permanent)
• Experience in home/community settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Work with students in home and community settings to provide individualized lessons targeting IEP goals.
• Develop creative, multi-sensory lessons based on IEP goals
• Collect meaningful data on IEP goals and report progress quarterly
• Maintain communication with supervisors and school teams
• Submit daily attendance and electronic billing
• Attend professional development trainings and CSE meetings
